It is the intent of this committee to provide financial assistance to its members through scholarships and grants, but not loans.

The assistance is based upon available funds allocated by the Board of Directors on a yearly basis: January 1 through December 31. Any member in good standing may apply for financial aid provided the criteria is met and approved by the Board of Directors.

Each member may apply for a grant(s) not to exceed $500 or a scholarship(s) not to exceed more than $2500 per calendar year, provided that funds are available.

The finances will be recorded by the scholarship and grant committee and permanent records will be tracked.

Grant - registration for conventions -not transportation, lodging or food.

This assistance is based upon available funds allocated by the Board of Directors on a yearly basis. January 1, thru December 31. Any member in good standing may apply for a scholarship providing the criteria is met, and approved by the Scholarship Committee and the Board of Directors.

Each senior member, in good standing, of the Central Florida Chefs Association may apply for a scholarship not to exceed $2500.00 and each junior member in good standing may apply for scholarships not to exceed $2500.00. Two scholarships may be approved for each group per calendar year. Any approved scholarship funds will be dispersed at completion of the educational event with proof of completion. No checks will be issued prior to the educational event.

The American Culinary Federation Central Florida Chapter supplies these funds. The scholarship committee documenting all disbursements and compliance with all conditions of each scholarship will maintain records.

No check will be issued to an individual, unless approved by the Board of Directors. All checks will be made out to an approved school or educational event site. All moneys are to be spent on approved educational expenses i.e. tuition and textbooks. Travel, lodging and food are not approved items for scholarship money.

Sponsor/Employer Letter Criteria
1. Must state that the applicant will have the time off from work or school in order to attend the function.
2. A brief description of the applicant's interest in his or her profession and level of competency pertaining to the event he or she plans to attend.
3. State whether the applicant has an excellent, good, or poor attendance record (specific records are not required).

Qualifying Criteria
Applications will be typed in number twelve font, Collated in the order listed, with a cover page containing your name, address, phone number, and date of application.
1. Applicant must provide a current resume.
2. Employer/ sponsor must state that the applicant will have the time off from work or school to attend the scholastic event.
3. Employer/ sponsor must state if applicants attendance record has been excellent, or poor (specific records are not required.
4. Applicant must provide documentation that he or she has participated in three or more chapter events in the year prior to the application.
5. Applicant must provide a letter of intent to continue working within the chapter, and how your education will benefit the chapter.
6. Applicant must provide a break down of expenses.
7. Upon completion of the educational event applicant will furnish an outline of what was learned and what you found beneficial from the event for publication in the monthly newsletter. All scholarships are to be reviewed by the scholarship committee and the board of directors for approval.

Grant Criteria
1. Applicant must have documentation that he or she has participated in at least three chapter events one year prior to the date of application.
2. Provide current resume.
3. Provide a recap outline of what was attended to be printed in the newsletter.
4. Present a brief report of your attended activity to the general membership at a general meeting.
